It’s the first question almost every business owner asks — and the one most web design firms dodge. Here’s an honest answer, based on what we see day to day.
How we think about cost
We don’t publish price lists. Every project is different, and a number on a website would be a guess dressed up as a promise. What we do instead is talk it through properly, then put a clear, itemised quote in writing — so you can see exactly what you’re paying for and decide with no pressure.
- No sales pressure and no hard sell
- A written quote you can read in full before committing
- We’ll tell you if a cheaper option would genuinely suit you better
- No lock-in contracts on anything we build for you
The quickest way to get a straight answer is to ask for a free website audit. We’ll look at what you have now and tell you what needs attention, at no cost and with no obligation.
What actually drives the price
- The number of pages and how much content needs writing
- Whether you need a shop, bookings, or custom tools
- Custom design versus an adapted template
- Copywriting, photography and branding
- Integrations with your other systems
The costs people forget
Beyond the build, budget for a domain name (a few pounds a year), hosting, and ongoing updates. A website is never truly “finished” — the best ones get refined over time, and that’s normal.
The cheapest quote is rarely the best value. A site that doesn’t convert visitors, or breaks on mobile, ends up costing far more in lost customers than you saved. Look for someone who asks about your business first, and talks about results second.
