Logo and branding design

Distinctive logos and consistent branding that make your business memorable.

A strong brand makes you instantly recognisable and helps you look established. We design logos, colours and styles that reflect who you are, and apply them consistently across your website and marketing.

Where AI sometimes fits in branding

Exploring a lot of directions quickly and cheaply before we narrow it down by hand, and generating variations of a chosen mark — different lockups, or a version for a dark background. The judgement about which one is right, and why, is still a designer's job, and that's where the value is. We'd be suspicious of any designer finalising a logo with a prompt.

A logo is the smallest part of it

A logo is what people recognise, but it's the least useful thing on this page. What actually builds recognition is consistent colour, type and spacing across everything a customer sees — the website, the invoice, the van, the sign. We'll design the logo, but we think about how it behaves at small sizes and in one colour, because it'll end up on a fascia and a payment terminal.

Built to work small and in one colour

The version of your logo that gets tested hardest is a small one — a browser tab, an app icon, an embroidered shirt, a stamp on an invoice. We design for those cases from the start rather than shrinking a detailed version until it's a smudge.

Files you can actually use

A logo is no use if you can't open it. You'll get the files you need for print and screen, in the formats your printer, your web developer and your social accounts each need — plus guidance on what to use where, so nobody ends up stretching a JPG.

A small set of rules so it stays consistent

Without a few simple rules, a brand drifts: someone picks a different blue, the spacing changes, and within a year it doesn't look like one business. We'll give you a short guide covering colour, type and clear space, so it stays recognisable however it's applied.

Built for the business you're running

The right identity depends on what you're doing and who you need to appeal to. We'll look at what you already have, what your competitors look like, and where you want to be — because a brand designed for a high-street café is the wrong tool for a trade business that needs to look solid and reliable.

Common questions

Do I need a logo?
Not strictly — plenty of businesses run on a good name and consistent colours. But you'll need some consistent visual identity, and if you haven't got one, a logo is usually the easiest place to start.
What do I get at the end?
Logo files in the formats you need for web, print and social, a colour palette, type choices you can use freely, and a short guide explaining how to use them correctly.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks is typical, depending on how many directions you want to explore. We'll show you options rather than presenting one idea and asking you to choose between good and less good.
Do I need print design as well?
If you need business cards, signage, menus or vehicle graphics, those are separate from the logo and we can design them. It's worth getting the identity right first, because everything else pulls from it.
Can you just work with what I have?
Yes. If you already have a logo you like, we can build the rest of the identity around it. A full redesign is a choice, not a requirement.
